A Flower in Bloom
Daddy’s girl
So beautiful
So loved
So wanted
A bud begins to blossom
She cries
Too much for Dad Stepdad likes her
Too much too much
She watches Mom
abused so often
Mom protects her
Not much not enough
The blossom begins to wilt
A Teacher takes notice Sees value
Grandma embraces Shows love
A Best friend is found Belonging is felt
She begins to stand
She believes she can
A new bud begins to blossom
